PATINA transforms your smartwatch into a living material—one that ages, fractures, rests, and renews throughout the day. Morning reveals a pale, dusty plaster surface. Afternoon introduces warmer tones and a softly glazed finish. At night, the material darkens into an oxidized mineral form while the remaining watch battery begins to leave realistic hairline fractures around the rim. As power decreases, the damage becomes increasingly visible: subtle cracks emerge below 80%, branch below 50%, and develop into a deeper fracture network below 25%. After midnight, PATINA begins restoring itself hour by hour until the surface is renewed for morning. This is more than a repeating color animation. PATINA responds to actual local time and live battery data, creating an evolving piece of wearable digital art while keeping the essential information clear and readable.
